Based in Taiwan, and with a goal to source crowdfunding through a Kickstarter campaign, I led strategic communications and media relations for the brand while at GreenRoom Agency. I developed a monthly media outreach strategy across several key target verticals, including product launch strategies, product reviews, round-up inclusions, and dedicated feature stories of the brand and its owners, as well as drafting pitches, press releases, and optimizing copy on the Kickstarter page. I also attended the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas on behalf of the brand to present the first prototype to the public, promote the product, and secure interviews and coverage, while also managing the booth. With coverage like Malarie Gokey’s emphatic review for Digital Trends, along with several industry-specific features, we positioned Aurai to get the attention of major retailers like Brookstone and HSN.
